Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Giosuè Santoro ("Wick," "we," "us," or "our") processes information when you use the Wick mobile application and related services.

1. Information We Process

Wick does not require an account or registration. To provide the service, Wick processes:

  • Chart images you choose from your library or capture with your camera
  • Analysis settings and trading preferences, such as trading style, risk preference, experience, asset class, indicators, timeframes, and analysis objective
  • Analysis results, Journal history, notes, saved status, sharing status, scan usage, onboarding status, language, and related app preferences stored on your device
  • Subscription and entitlement information processed by Apple and RevenueCat
  • Product-analytics events describing how you use the app, such as app opens, screen views, scan and analysis steps, and paywall and subscription events
  • Limited technical, network, device, transaction, and diagnostic information that service providers may process to operate their services

Product analytics are processed by PostHog on its European infrastructure. Analytics events carry app and device context such as app version, build number, platform, operating-system version, device type, and language, and are associated with an anonymous identifier generated on your device rather than with your name or an account. Wick does not enable session replay, touch or screen autocapture, automatic crash capture, or location enrichment from your IP address, and event properties that could carry personal details or chart content are removed before an event is sent. Network infrastructure may still process your IP address in transit to receive a request.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to analyze submitted charts, personalize results using your selected preferences, display and maintain analysis history and Journal features, manage subscriptions and feature access, provide support, protect the service, troubleshoot errors, and operate and improve Wick.

We do not sell your personal information or use chart images for advertising. Information is disclosed to service providers only as described in this policy or when required by law.

3. Chart Images and AI Analysis

When you request an analysis, the app requests a short-lived, secure upload link from Wick's backend and uploads the chart image directly to Google Cloud Storage. Wick then sends the resulting image URL, together with relevant analysis settings and trading preferences, to Wick's backend. The backend provides this information to OpenAI to generate the requested analysis.

Google Cloud Storage provides cloud image storage and delivery. Uploaded images remain stored so Wick can display them in analysis history and the Journal, and are automatically deleted 90 days after upload. OpenAI processes the submitted image and context under its own terms and privacy practices. Wick does not claim that OpenAI provides zero retention or that submitted information is never retained.

4. Data Storage and Retention

Local storage: Wick stores preferences, analysis history, Journal content, scan usage, paywall state, and related app data in the app's local device storage. This storage is not described as encrypted or secure storage. Local data generally remains until it is cleared through available app controls, removed with the app's data, or the app is uninstalled. Some locally stored analysis records may remain until all app data is removed even after an item is removed from the visible Journal.

Cloud storage: Chart images are uploaded to Google Cloud Storage and remain available for analysis history and Journal functionality. Every uploaded chart image is automatically deleted 90 days after upload by a storage lifecycle rule. Removing a Journal entry or uninstalling Wick does not immediately delete the corresponding cloud image, but the image is still removed automatically at the end of the 90-day period.

Service providers retain information according to their agreements, configurations, and privacy policies.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

Wick uses the following providers to operate the service:

  • OpenAI — AI-powered chart analysis
  • Google Cloud — chart-image upload, cloud storage and delivery, and backend hosting (Cloud Run)
  • RevenueCat — subscription products, customer entitlement status, purchase and restore support, and subscription-related device and transaction information
  • PostHog — product analytics describing how the app is used, processed on European infrastructure under an anonymous device identifier
  • Apple — App Store distribution and in-app purchase processing

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

6. Subscriptions and Purchases

Subscriptions are purchased through Apple's in-app purchase system. Wick does not directly collect or store your full payment-card details. Apple processes the transaction, and RevenueCat helps Wick retrieve product offerings, determine subscription and trial eligibility, manage anonymous customer and entitlement records, complete purchases, and restore access. Apple and RevenueCat may process transaction, subscription, device, network, and identifier information needed for these functions.

7. Data Sharing

We disclose information to service providers only as needed to provide, secure, support, and maintain Wick, including the providers listed above. We may also disclose information when required by applicable law, legal process, or a valid government request; to protect rights, safety, and service integrity; or as part of a business transfer where permitted by law.

We do not sell personal information. Processing by OpenAI, Google Cloud, RevenueCat, PostHog, and Apple is still a disclosure to service providers and is not described as 'no sharing.'

8. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information processed through Wick. Network communications with Wick's services and third-party cloud services should use encrypted connections such as HTTPS/TLS where applicable, and cloud storage is handled through third-party infrastructure such as Google Cloud Storage.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and we do not claim that all information stored locally on your device or by third parties is encrypted at rest.

9. Your Privacy Rights and Data Deletion

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent regarding personal information. Because Wick has no user accounts, we may need information such as a relevant chart-image URL or purchase details to locate a record, and in some cases we may be unable to associate service-provider data with you.

You can remove certain preferences using the app's controls and remove the app to clear its local app data. Removing a visible Journal entry or uninstalling the app does not immediately delete its cloud image, but every cloud image is automatically deleted 90 days after upload. To submit a privacy or cloud-image deletion request, contact support@wickapp.io. We may need to verify the request and may retain information where required by law.

10. International Data Processing

Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Data protection laws in those countries may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where required by applicable law, appropriate measures are used for international transfers of personal information. The applicable transfer requirements will be reviewed before production release based on Wick's operator, target markets, and provider arrangements.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Wick, its providers, or applicable requirements change. The revised policy will show an updated effective or last-updated date. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or another appropriate method where required.

About this website. Separately from the app, wickapp.io uses Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages and countries traffic comes from. It sets no cookies and does not store or read identifiers on your device, which is why you are not asked to accept any. Vercel, as our hosting and analytics provider, processes the page path, referrer, browser and device type, and derives an approximate country from your IP address.
